Today we are talking about social workers: what they do, how you can access them, and what an incredible source of support these professionals can be for you if you integrate them into your special needs child's team.

Helen Williams is an Integrated Behavioral Health Social Worker.    Helen graduated from UNC Chapel Hill and received a Masters Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Helen is currently working with Bon Secours Richmond Hope Therapy Center through its partnership with United Methodist Family Services.

Supporting CHildren of Siblings with Disabilities- an interview with authoir and podcaster Jessica Leving

In this video we explore being the sibling of a brother or sister with special needs with podcaster and author, Jessica Leving. Jessica founded The Center for Siblings of People with Disabilities, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping brothers and sisters of people with additional needs feel seen, supported, and empowered. Though the Center offers resources for siblings of all ages, the organization has a special focus on providing early intervention for young siblings.
